December 6th, 2019 (Reston, VA) – Hinge’s Managing Partner, Lee Frederiksen Ph.D., was named one of Accounting Today’s 2019 Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting. Each year, Accounting Today publishes this list to identify the 100 thought leaders and change-makers who are shaping the accounting industry.

Editor Daniel Hood on Lee’s inclusion on the list:

“There’s an old joke that only half of advertising works, but no one knows which half. Well, that no longer holds, at least when it comes to marketing accounting firms: Frederiksen’s exhaustive and ongoing research into how high-growth firms brand, present, and otherwise promote themselves—and his willingness to share that data and his expertise extensively with the profession—is rapidly reshaping how firms hold themselves out to the world.”

“It is a real honor to be included in this distinguished list,” said Lee. “No business leader can afford to waste money on marketing. Accounting firms have to do their best to market their services, even in the face of a radically changing marketplace. That’s why each year our firm strives to produce the most thought-provoking, up-to-date and actionable research available to the accounting community.”

Accounting Today selected the honorees from a long list of thought leaders and change-makers in the profession that included top executives, regulators, firm managing partners, educators, consultants and others. Lee joins a number of other notable thought leaders on this list, including Wayne Berson, CEO of BDO USA, Lauren Clemmer, Executive Director of the Association for Accounting Marketing, Neil Fishman, President of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, Kelly Grier, CEO of EY, Tom Hood, CEO of MACPA and Business Learning Institute, Allan Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group Inc, Barry Melancon, President and CEO of the American Institute of CPA’s, and Scott Zarret, President of CPAacademy.org.
